When New Zealand
farm pioneers were discovering new techniques for turning our wilderness
backcountry into productive land, Ernest Hayes was right in there developing the
tools that helped them do it.
The company began
selling to the world when their new smooth-grip wire strainer came into demand
in 1924. This was the origin of that ubiquitous Hayes "Smooth-grip
Chain-grab" strainer that is standard equipment on so many farms today
around the world. Following on the heels of this success has come a whole
range of fencing aids.
This company is
continuing to that fine tradition of listening to practical farmers, hearing
what problems they face what solutions they need, then developing the products
that will make their lives easier, more profitable and more productive.
