Ancare is a New Zealand owned and operated animal health company renown for its innovative products and marketing strategy. Ancare manufactures anthelmintics, ectoparasiticides and many other products. These are marketed through veterinary practices in New Zealand and a growing number of distributors in selected international markets.

Ancare has a very active research and development programme focused on tailoring products to specific market needs.

Examples of Ancare's innovations are:

The Genesis range of endectocide sheep and cattle drenches. This includes:

	A rainfast low dose pour-on for cattle A long-acting injection for sheep and cattle A combination abamectin-praziquantel tapeworm drench for lambs An oral drench for sheep A combination horse wormer paste for horses
	Arrest Hi Mineral, the first combination levamisole and albendazole sheep drench with added minerals.

Levitape, the first levamisole and praziquantel combination sheep drench for the control of both roundworms and tapeworms.

Many other development programmes are in progress with leading New Zealand research institutions.
