Over the years Ambreed has maintained a focus on customer needs and the companies policy has always been to provide clients with choice. Bull selection is based on a balanced approach combining functional type with hard working good natured cattle. It is the company's belief that selective breeding in this way will be our client's fastest pathway to profitability.
 

To enhance this, Ambreed now have a full range of services available to compliment farming requirements.

These include: 

QUALITY GENETICS – Ambreed have a specialized Genetic Development Division who play a large role in Contract mating and Sire selection taking Ambreed Sires to the top of the NZ Ras list. Ambreed currently have some of the highest indexed sires of all 3 major breeds. Sire indexes are available from Ambreed sires including facial Eczema resistance, gestation length and high input suitability.
Ambreed have a fully compliant and operational Herd Testing service. Now farmers can  access a herd testing service offering the highest quality and accuracy.
Am-Link is Ambreed’s Herd and Herd Information Service. Am-Link enables Farmers to establish, maintain and benefit from complete herd management records. 

Genescreen is a computer program that efficiently identifies matings that could result in risks of inbreeding and genetic defects. There are 8,000 NZ industry bulls on the database and the program is able to run Ambreed and non-Ambreed semen and herds.

AI TRAINING – Over 10,000 New Zealand farmers have been taught the successful Ambreed way to inseminate their own cows. Ambreed AI courses run between March and June every year and are conducted  throughout the country. The 5 day course covers the following subjects – Reproductive – Anatomy, Health and Diseases, Frozen Semen Production, Heat Detection, Sire Selection and Nutrition.

Ar-Tech have been developing  a group of new reproductive technologies with enormous potential, not only for influencing  the rate of genetic gain, but also able to create new opportunities for cattle farmers who can adopt new production alternatives based on these reproductive technologies.

Ar-tech Technologies include egg recovery, sperm sorting, embryo biopsy and sexing, embryo bisection, embryo cryspreservation and embryo transfer.
